SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 11/15/16, the State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on US Route 5

South in Fairlee. Members of the Fairlee Fire Department and Upper Valley

Ambulance responded as well.

 

Investigation revealed that Brittany Gross was traveling north when her vehicle

drifted off the east side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a utility pole,

sheering the pole in two. The vehicle came to rest upside down in the northbound

lane. Power and phone lines were down across the road as a result of the crash.

 

It is believed that Brittany Gross may have suffered a medical event. She was

transported to DHMC for precautionary reasons.

 

US Route 5 South was closed to traffic for several hours between Vermont Route

244 and the junction of Lake Morey Road while utility crews repaired the damage.

 

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact
