SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

Preliminary investigation revealed that Quinn Lumsden was operating his vehicle, traveling south on Killington Road, at approximately 35 mph. Robert Osnoe was operating his vehicle, also traveling south on Killington Road, at approximately 15 mph traveling in front of Lumsden. Osnoe began to slow down to stop at the intersection of West Hill Road and Killington Road for the red light. As Osnoe began slowing down, Lumsden failed to slow down in time and subsequently struck Osnoe in the rear portion of the vehicle.

 

An occupant of vehicle #1 was evaluated on scene by Killington Fire and Rescue and Regional Ambulance and later released. There were no other injuries as a result of the crash.

 

Vehicle #1 sustained severe contact damage to the front bumper, grill, hood, and windshield of the vehicle as a result of the crash. Vehicle #2 sustained severe contact damage to the rear bumper and trunk of the vehicle. Vehicle #1 was towed by Killington Auto due to disabling damage. Vehicle #2 was towed by Ciccone and Sons Towing due to disabling damage.

 

A Vermont Civil Violation Complaint was issued to operator #1.
