SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

In the early morning hours of November 27, 2016 troopers from the Vermont State Police –Rutland Barracks were participating in Operation C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) to detect and remove impaired operators from the roadways over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.

 

At approximately 0044 hours, troopers stopped a vehicle on US Route 4 near Killington Road in the Town of Killington for several traffic violations. Mario J. Tringali was identified as the operator. Tringali displayed signs of alcohol impairment and was screened for DUI. He was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in Rutland Town where he was processed for DUI.  Tringali was later released to a sober party. He was cited to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division on December 12, 2016 at 0830 hours.
