SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

Preliminary investigation revealed that An Jingwei was operating her vehicle, traveling east on US Route 4, at approximately 25 mph. Richard Simek was operating his vehicle, also traveling east on US Route 4, at approximately 35 mph traveling behind Jingwei. Megan Hoffman was operating her vehicle, also traveling east on US Route 4, at approximately 30 mph traveling behind Simek. As Jingwei began to brake, Simek reacted to the braking and also began to brake. Hoffman subsequently struck Simek in the rear portion of the vehicle. The collision caused Simek’s vehicle to strike Jingwei in the rear portion of her vehicle.

 

There were no injuries as a result of the crash.

 

Vehicle #1 sustained severe contact damage to the front end of the vehicle as a result of the crash. Vehicle #2 sustained minor cosmetic damage to the front and rear bumper of the vehicle. Vehicle #3 sustained moderate contact damage to the rear portion of the vehicle. Both vehicle #1 and vehicle #3 were towed by Killington Auto due to disabling damage.
