SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On November 5, 2016, at approximately 2242 hours, State Police were notified of a single motor vehicle crash on Vermont Route 30 near River Road, in North Pawlet, Vermont.

Pawlet volunteer fire department was already on scene and Granville rescue transported the operator to Rutland Regional Medical Center for evaluation because she appeared to be going in and out of consciousness.  Troopers began investigating the crash, where the above identified vehicle was heading northbound on Vermont Route 30 when it traveled in reverse south down the hill, crossed the center line, and impacted a rock face on the west side of the highway.  Minor damage was observed to the driver side rear bumper.  During the investigation alcohol containers were observed in the vehicle and first responders advised the operator smelled of alcohol.   Troopers met with the operator at the hospital and identified her as Tracy A. Davies (45). While interacting with her several signs of impairment were observed.

Davies volunteered a preliminary breath sample which resulted in 0.362% BrAC.  Davies was processed for driving under the influence and provided a sample of her blood for analysis.
