SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On November 11, 2016, at approximately 2026 hours, members of the Vermont State Police, assigned to the Rutland Barracks were notified of a family dispute which took place in Stockbridge, Vermont. Through a coordinated investigation with Troopers assigned to the Royalton Barracks, it was learned one of the members involved had left the residence and traveled to Pittsfield, Vermont. At approximately 2050 hours, Troopers located Julie Maxfield in the parking lot of the Pittsfield Country Store. While speaking to Maxfield, she displayed signs of impairment and was screened for DUI. Maxfield refused to provide a preliminary sample. Maxfiled was subsequently taken into custody, and transported to the State Police Barracks in Rutland, where she was processed for suspicion of DUI. Maxfield was later released on citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later time and date.
