SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 11/4/2016 at approximately 2315 hrs VSP Williston received a report of a burglary in progress at Jacobs Family Market, located at 16 Park St., Underhill. It was reported 2 teenage males had broken into the store.
Officers from State Police, Williston Police and VT DMV responded. The males were taken into custody in the area of Park St., Underhill. They were identified as 2 local 15 year old juveniles, both with a history of theft and burglaries.
Investigation showed the males broke a window to forced entry into the store, taking numerous packages of tobacco products and lottery tickets. The stolen property was recovered at the scene with the juveniles.
They were also determined to have stolen a pair of bicycles from a neighboring residence. The bicycles were also recovered.
One of the juveniles was charged with 2 counts of Burglary, 2 counts of Possession of Stolen Property, Disorderly Conduct, Unlawful Mischief and Persons Under 16 Consuming Alcohol. He was transferred to Woodside Juvenile Rehabilitation Center as a Juvenile Delinquent.
The other juvenile was charged with 2 counts of Burglary, 2 counts of Possession of Stolen Property and Persons Under 16 Consuming Alcohol. He was cited to appear in Chittenden Family Court on 12/8/2016 for these offenses and released to a parent.
