DATE/TIME: 11/19/2016 @ 0500 hours.

LOCATION: Fairlee, VT

VIOLATION: 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault, Possession of Hallucinogenic Drug

 

ACCUSED: Matthew Manning                                         

AGE: 37

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Corinth, VT

 

VICTIM: (The Vermont State Police does not release the names of victims of

sexual assault or domestic violence.)

 

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On 11/19/2016 at approximately 0530 hours Troopers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on US Route 5 in Fairlee.  Investigation found the female victim had been choked by Matthew Manning.  Troopers located Manning at a nearby residence where he was taken into custody.  During their interaction with him, Manning was found to be in possession of a hallucinogenic drug. He was lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Center in St. Johnsbury on $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Orange County Court on 11/21/2016 at 1230 hours.
