SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 10/31/16, VSP Williston Troopers were made aware of a residence in the town of Huntington being struck by what was reported to be a stray bullet.

Upon arriving on scene, Ashley stated he was inside the house when he heard a loud noise - as if something struck the house.  He stated upon going outside, he noted what appeared to be a hole in one of the boards adjacent to a window.

Ashley advised he heard gunshots in the region both before and after the incident but could not pinpoint where they were coming from.

At this time, there are no indicators that Ashley's residence was targeted and it appears that this is an isolated incident.

Officials from the Vermont State Police and Vermont Dept. of Fish and Wildlife are currently still investigating the incident. Anyone with information pertinent to this or similar incidents is asked to call (802) 878-7111.
