SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On October 14, 2016, at approximately 1729 hours, the Vermont State Police were notified of a three vehicle crash in the area of 213 W. Main St. in the Town of Lunenburg. Investigation revealed that all three vehicles were traveling west bound on W. Main St. before the crash. The operators all reported being blinded by the setting sun just prior to the crash. Vehicle #1 collided with the rear end of Vehicle #2 which caused Vehicle #2 to collide into the rear end of Vehicle #3. Vehicle #1 sustained moderate front end damage. Vehicle #2 sustained moderate rear end damage and minor damage to the front passenger headlamp. Vehicle #3 sustained minor damage to the rear bumper. The operator of Vehicle #1, Arthur Dinan, was not ticketed for a violation of motor vehicle law. It should be noted that W. Main St. was closed for a brief period of time while the operators of Vehicle #2 and Vehicle #3 were evaluated and transported to Weeks Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, NH.
