SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On the evening of 10-17-16, State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on

Memorial Drive in the town of St. Johnsbury. Upon arrival, Troopers located

Vehicle 1 blocking the southbound lane of travel after colliding with a cement

wall. Investigation revealed that the Operator 1 swerved to avoid an animal in

the roadway, hit the guard rail, before striking the wall. The vehicle was towed

by B&B towing due to disabling damage. Both Operator 1 and a passenger were

transported to Northern Vermont Regional Hospital for evaluation. State Police

were assisted on scene by St. Johnsbury Fire department. Memorial Drive was

closed for a short period of time in order to remove the vehicle from the

roadway.
