SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 10/14/16, the Ryegate Fire Department responded to the Daniel Roy residence
at 375 Boltonville Road for a reported stove fire. While on scene, the fire
department observed signs of a possible methamphetamine lab. The Vermont State
Police was contacted and responded to the scene.
On 10/15/16, a search warrant was executed on the property. Members of the
Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury Barracks, State Police Clandestine Team,
Vermont Hazardous Material Team, DEA, Vermont Civil Support, Ryegate Fire
Department, and Woodsville Ambulance all responded.
During the search, evidence of the production of methamphetamine was found. All
dangerous chemicals were mitigated. Enpro was called in to secure the items.
Daniel Roy was arrested for violating his pre-trial conditions of release which
were for the manufacturing and sale of methamphetamine. This was the result of a
search warrant executed at the residence on 09/16/16. Additional criminal
charges are forthcoming. Daniel Roy was lodged on $15000.
