SUMMARY OF CRASH: On October 12, 2016, at approximately 1627 hours, State Police were notified of a two-car motor vehicle collision on US Route 7 in the Town of Ferrisburgh. State Police arrived on scene and identified Operator#1 as Max Cummings. Cummings stated that prior to the collision he was travelling northbound on US Route 7. Cummings advised that as he approached the intersection with VT Route 22A, he could see that the traffic light at the intersection had turned green. Cummings advised that he briefly looked down and when he looked back up the vehicle in front of him was still stopped/was slowing moving forward and he subsequently rear ended the vehicle. Cummings sustained no injuries as a result of the collision and his vehicle sustained moderate contact damage. State Police subsequently identified Operator#2 as Linnea Eddy. Eddy advised that prior to the collision, she had been stopped for the red light at the intersection of US Route 7 and VT Route 22A. Eddy advised that after the light turned green, she had begun moving forward when she was rear-ended. Eddy sustained no injuries as a result of the collision and her vehicle sustained heavy rear-end damage. Alcohol nor drugs played a factor in the collision.
