SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 10/15/16 at approximately 1417 hours the Vermont State Police in Shaftsbury received a report of a three (3) vehicle collision on VT RT 7A in Arlington, next to The Cheese House.  Investigation determined as Operator # 2 was stopped in traffic on VT RT 7A, next to The Cheese House, Operator # 1 had been traveling north and behind Vehicle # 2.   Operator # 1 failed to come to complete stop and collided with the back bumper/wheel well on Vehicle # 2.  Impact forced Vehicle # 2  to travel partially off the east side of the roadway.  Operator # 1 continued north and across the southbound lane and into the parking lot of The Cheese House.  Operator # 1 collided with the driver side door of V # 3, which had been parked and unoccupied.  V # 3 was forced into a rock base for a sign at The Cheese House.  Vehicle # 1 sustained damage to its front bumper and passenger side wheel well.  Vehicle # 3 sustained damage to the driver and passenger side doors.  The rock base sustained minor damage.

Operator # 1 was determined to be the at fault operator for this collision.

Paul’s Towing, Monarch Towing, and Walt’s Towing removed all three (3) vehicles.

The Arlington Fire Department and Arlington Rescue Squad assisted with traffic control and evaluating the operators/occupant at the scene.
