LOCATION: Monroe Trail Duxbury Vermont

 

Lost/Missing hiker: Abdais Maleus                                                                                          

AGE: 24

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Medford Massachusetts

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On October 16th 2016 at approximately 2030 hours, The State Police in Middlesex were contacted reference a lost/missing hiker from Camel’s Hump. The caller advised they were separated from their friend Abdais Maleus when they were hiking down the Monroe trail, near dusk. Waterbury Back Country Rescue, State Police and State Game Wardens were all involved in the search. Maleus was located the next morning at approximately 0900 hours. He was located walking down the road and reunited with his friends.
