SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 10/27/16, at approximately 2158 hours, members of the Vermont State Police, responded to a truck vs Tractor Trailer Unit motor vehicle crash on Interstate 91 south mile marker 41 in the Town of Springfield. Upon arrival, Troopers learned Norman A. Durrell, 55, was the operator of Vehicle #2, and was traveling south on the right lane when the operator of Vehicle #1, Peter N. Schor, 46, lost control of his truck and traveled from the left lane and into the right lane. Schor’s truck started to swerve after passing an icy bridge causing it to travel in between lanes. As a result, the Tractor Trailer impacted the truck’s rear, causing the truck to turn sideways. Although Durrell pressed hard on the brakes, the Tractor Trailer impacted the truck a second time on its driver side rear door. This second impact caused the truck to hit a guardrail with its front bumper.
