SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On October 3, 2016 at approximately 1533 hours, a Trooper from the Vermont State Police-Rutland Barracks responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash near the intersection of VT Route 4 E and Prior Dr. in Rutland Town.

Preliminary investigation revealed that operator # 1 (David A. Craven) was traveling west on VT Route 4 E while operator #2 (Amanda R. Corey) was also traveling west on the same road. Operator #2 was stationary in a line of traffic at the intersection of Prior Dr. when operator #1 struck the vehicle in the rear.

Operator #1 was not injured in the crash. Operator #2 was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center for further medical evaluation. Traffic was delayed for a short time while the vehicles were moved from the roadway under their own power. Operator #1 (Craven) was found at fault for the crash.
