SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On September 30, 2016, at approximately 2253 hours the Vermont State Police were advised a vehicle was parked along the side of River road in West Pawlet with a male sitting in the driver seat partially out of the vehicle. The West Pawlet Constable arrived first on scene and identified the male as Douglas J. White (29) asleep in the driver seat with the keys in the ignition. While interacting with White the Constable observed several signs of impairment.
On arrival of State Police, White displayed signs of impairment and was screened for DUI. White provided a preliminary breath test which indicated his BrAC equaled 0.092 at 2350 hours. White was arrested for the suspicion of DUI and transported to the Fair Haven Police station.
White was processed for DUI, and later released on a citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division on October 17, 2016 to answer to the charge of driving under the influence.
