SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On October 8, 2016, at approximately 2014 hours, State Troopers responded, along with Castleton Police Department, to Bomoseen Vermont where a complainant was reporting a motor vehicle crash. The complainant advised she just left Benson Vermont where she crashed the vehicle she was driving into another car, did not stop, and drove to her residence before contacting police.  The complainant advised she was drinking, did not have a license, and she took the vehicle she crashed without permission.

 

Troopers arrived and identified the complainant as Evelyn Desabrais (54).  While conversing with Desabrais, she displayed signs of impairment and was screened for DUI.   Desabrais  provided a preliminary breath test which indicated 0.163% BrAC at 2050 hours.  Desabrais was taken into custody for the suspicion of DUI and transported to the Fair Haven Police station for processing.

 

Desabrais was cited to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division on October 24, 2016 at 0830 hours for the above listed charges.
