On Monday, October 31, 2016 at approximately 0855 hours, the Vermont State Police, Rutland Barracks, responded to a single motor vehicle crash which occurred on Beebe Hill Road near the intersection of Powerhouse Road, in the Town of Chittenden, Vermont.

Investigation revealed the vehicle's operator, Nancy L. Boynton (64 y/o), was traveling westbound on Beebe Hill Road. Beebe Hill Road is a gravel roadway that primarily runs east and west. While Boynton was traveling westbound a deer crossed in front of her vehicle. Boynton swerved to avoid a collision with the deer, however, lost control of her vehicle and went off the roadway. The vehicle was removed from the ditch and towed by Carey's Auto due to disabling damage.

The operator was found to be at fault for the crash and in violation of Title 23 VSA 1031 "Driving to right."
