SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On Thursday, October 27, 2016 at approximately 1744 hours, the Vermont State Police was notified of a single vehicle crash on Eastham Road in the Town of Shrewsbury. Troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded and located the crash approximately one half-mile south of Northam Road.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Jessica L. Giffin was operating her vehicle, traveling north on Eastham Road, at approximately 20 mph. As Giffin attempted to negotiate a corner at the bottom of a hill, her vehicle slid off the roadway and into a shallow ditch. The vehicle sustained minor contact damage to the front end. It was removed from the ditch by a towing company and was able to be driven from the scene under its own power. The roadway conditions contributed to the crash.
