VIOLATION: Negligent Operation - 108 mph in a 65 zone

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On Sunday October 16, 2016 at approximately 1126 hours

Williston Troopers were conducting pro-active motor vehicle work on Interstate

89 in Richmond at MM74. While in the area Troopers observed Maximilian B. McGee

traveling northbound in a 2008 Subaru Outback at a very high rate of speed.

McGee was subsequently clocked on stationary radar at 108 mph in a posted 65 mph

zone. McGee was stopped, taken into custody for negligent operation, and

transported to the Williston State Police Barracks for booking. McGee will be

required to appear in Chittenden District Court on November 22, 2016 to answer

to the above charges.

 

Troopers continue to remind motorists to drive safely on Vermont's roadways to

decrease serious bodily injury and fatal collisions.
