On 10/14/2016 at approximately 1:34 pm, a member of the Vermont State Police, Westminster Station responded to Interstate 91 (I91) in the Town of Dummerston for a reported single vehicle crash.

Investigation found that a vehicle being operated by Mr. Thomas Kaps, 77 of Yonkers, NY, was entered onto the southbound on-ramp for I91 in Dummerston at Exit #4.  As Mr. Kaps drove down the on-ramp, he failed to navigate the right hand curve and exited off the left side of the lane.  Mr. Kaps’ vehicle struck several metal posts and a directional sign on the side of the roadway.  Mr. Kaps was able to drive his vehicle back onto the paved roadway.

No injuries were sustained in this crash and Mr. Kaps’ vehicle was towed by Rod’s Towing of Putney.
