SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On October 14th, 2016 at approximately 1531 hours the Vermont State Police along

with Arlington Fire and Rescue responded to a two vehicle crash on VT RT 7A in

the Town of Arlington. Upon arrival, police observed Vehicle #2, a 2016 Toyota

Sienna with extensive rear end damage within the north bound travel lane.

Vehicle #1, a 2002 Nissan Frontier was also located within the north bound

travel lane and had extensive damage to the front end.  The operator of Vehicle

#1 was identified as James Olsen.  Olsen was driving north bound on VT RT 7A

when he collided with the rear of Veh #2.  The operator of

Vehicle #2 was identified as Robert Zink.  Zink was nearly stopped on VT RT 7A

preparing to make a left turn onto Red Mountain Rd when the collision occurred.

Both operators were taken to SVMC for a medical evaluation.  Driver inattention

is believed to be the cause of the crash.  The Vermont State Police are

continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the
