SUMMARY OF CRASH:
VSP Williston Troopers responded to a reported multi-vehicle collision on I-89 NB near Exit #15.  Upon arriving on scene, Troopers determined a (uninvolved) motor vehicle became disabled in the NB travel lane prior to the incident.  Due to the location of the motor vehicle, a passing motorist stopped and attempted to help move the vehicle out of the travel lane.  A high traffic volume in this area resulted in numerous vehicles suddenly slowing, culminating with Vehicle(s) 1 and 2 then 3 and 4 colliding with each other, respectively.

The NB travel (right) lane along with the NB Exit #15 breakdown lane was closed for approx. (40) minutes  to allow emergency responders from Winooski FD, Colchester FD, St. Michael's Rescue and Winooski PD to work safely within the scene.

Traffic delays were noted in the area but restored within the hour.
