SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 10/18/16 at approximately 0010 hours Troopers responded to a report of a vehicle in the woods off Conservation Way in Sunderland. Upon arrival Troopers located a 2011 Hyundai Elantra off the road approximately 100 yards in a thicket a trees. The operator was identified as Norman Chase. He appeared to be uninjured but was transported to SVMC for further evaluation.

Shortly after it was discovered that Chase was reported as missing by the New York State Police and may be suffering from Dementia. NYSP was notified as well as family so they could be reunited with Chase. The vehicle sustained moderate damage from the crash.
