SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On October 5, 2016, at 1921 hours, the Vermont State Police were notified of a two car crash at the intersection of Route 15 and Poker Hill Road in the town of Underhill. Underhill Jericho Fire Department also responded to the scene. Upon arrival Vehicle 1 was in the westbound lane with disabling damage to the front end. Vehicle 2 was also in the westbound lane with disabling front end damage. Investigation revealed that while turning left onto Route 15W from Poker Hill Road, Vehicle 1 failed to yield the right of way to Vehicle 2 who was traveling east at the time. Neither operator sustained injuries during the crash.

Operator 1, Ann Trudeau, was subsequently processed at roadside for operating under the influence of intoxicants and refused to provide a preliminary breath sample on scene. Trudeau was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and processed at the Williston State Police barracks. Trudeau was later cited to appear on 10/25/16 at 0815 in Burlington to answer the charge of Driving Under the Influence.
