SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
In the late morning hours of September 6, 2016, Vermont State Troopers, BCI Detectives, and members of the Bennington Police Force executed a search warrant of a residence located in the White Birches trailer park in Bennington (VT). 

During the search, Troopers discovered a marijuana grow operation (34 plants total) that encompassed marijuana plants in several stages of growth. 

During the search, Troopers recovered 8.4 lbs of marijuana bud, 11.1 lbs of hash oil/ various THC concentrates, 49.2 fluid ounces of a highly potent manufactured liquid THC concentrate, 72 prescription pills, 10 firearms. 

Further investigation indicated Devin and Rachel Briggs were actively converting marijuana (cannabis) into highly concentrated forms of THC using THC extraction techniques. 

Summary of findings:
Firearms: 10 total- 7 long guns, 3 hand guns
Marijuana Plants: 34
Marijuana (Processed Bud): 8.4 lbs
Hash Oil (Wax/ Shatter) / THC Edibles: 11.1 lbs
Prescription Pills: 72 total- 34 Adderall, 17 Alprazolam, 21 Amphetamine
THC Liquid Vaps (500 mg): 24
THC Liquid ‘Tincher’: 97 vials- 1,455 ml = 49.2 fluid ounces

At the conclusion of the search, Troopers arrested Devin and Rachel Briggs for the above offenses.  Both were processed at the Shaftsbury Barracks and later lodged in the Marble Valley Correctional Center (MVCC) for $20,000 bail. 

Both are scheduled to appear in the Bennington County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on September 7, 2016, at 12:30 hours.
