INCIDENT: Death Investigation

 

VICTIM: Pending notification of next of kin

AGE: 57

SEX: Male

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE:

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Rescue Services (Londonderry Rescue, Winhall Fire) and State Police were called to the scene of a subject hiking the Long Trail who had taken ill and become unresponsive in the area of the Peru Peak Shelter near Griffith Lake in the town of Peru. Resuscitation efforts failed and the subject was determined to be deceased. State Police are still investigating the cause and manner of death. Name and place of residence will be released once next of kin has been notified.
