LOCATION: N. Main Street, Whiting

VIOLATION: Domestic Assault

 

ACCUSED: Wanfre Miranda                                                                                        

AGE: 23

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Whiting, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On September 21, 2016 at approximately 1630 hours members

of the Vermont State Police responded to an assault that had taken place in

Whiting. Upon arrival Troopers were met by Wanfre Miranda and a woman who was

later determined to be the victim. Through investigation it was determined that

Miranda and the woman had an argument over text messages on a cell phone, the

argument then became physical. It was then that Miranda struck the woman several

times in the face causing severe trauma to her face.

 

Both parties were transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.

After further investigation it was determined that the accused, Miranda was

found to be the dominant aggressor. Subsequently Miranda was placed under arrest

for Domestic Assault and transported to the New Haven barracks for processing.
