SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On September 24, 2016 at approximately 0618 hours State Police were advised of a single car rollover on Jerusalem Road in the Town of Starksboro. Upon State Police arrival, no one was near or around the vehicle. Subsequent follow up investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle was Jonathan Gay. Gay advised that prior to the collision, he was travelling westbound on Jerusalem Road at an unknown speed when he fell asleep behind the wheel. Evidence indicates that Gay subsequently left his lane of travel and struck a small wood pile before overturning his vehicle. Gay's vehicle was totaled as a result of the collision. Gay reported no injuries as a result of the collision. State Police do not believe alcohol or drugs played a factor in the collision.
