SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On September 22, 2016, at approximately 1008 hours, State Police were notified of a single car motor vehicle collision at the intersection of VT Route 116 and States Prison Hollow Road in the Town of Starksboro. State Police arrived on scene and identified the operator as Keenan Kurt. Kurt advised that prior to the collision, he was travelling downhill on a private drive at approximately 10-15mph. Kurt advised that a mason jar he had in his vehicle fell onto the floor of his vehicle and became lodged underneath his brake pedal. Kurt advised that as a result, he could not stop his vehicle. Kurt stated that instead of travelling onto VT Route 116, he turned into a small decorative stone wall on the property. No injuries were reported as a result of the collision. Kurt's vehicle sustained heavy front end damage as a result of the collision. Alcohol or drugs did not play a factor in the collision.
