SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 09/18/16, the Vermont State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on Interstate 91 in Fairlee. The operator, Sarah Young advised that she swerved to avoid deer on the roadway.

 

Investigation revealed that Young was traveling south when she went off the east side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a u-turn prohibited sign. The vehicle traveled across the entrance to the u-turn before re-entering the roadway. The vehicle then traveled across both southbound lanes before coming to a position of uncontrolled rest off the west side of the roadway.

 

Sarah Young was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for Operating without Insurance.
