SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 09/12/16 Adonica Tifft called the State Police to report that she and her husband had a log splitter fall out of their trailer while transporting it from Londonderry to property in Windham.  On 09/11/16 approximately 1930 hours the log splitter fell out of the trailer on Horsenail Hill Road in Windham, a short distance from VT11.  Due to their inability to reload it into the trailer without more resources, they left it on the side of Horsenail Hill Road with intentions of getting it on 09/12/16. Town of Windham Highway Department employees reported seeing the log splitter on the side of the road at approximately 0600 hours on 09/12/16, however when the victim and her husband returned to retrieve the log splitter at approximately 0800 hours it was gone.  The log splitter was described as being red and grey with two hydraulic levers and a four way splitting wedge.  Anyone with information related to this theft is asked to contact Cpl. Mike Sorensen at the Westminster Barracks (802)722-4600.
