ACCUSED:  Jacob Smith                                               

AGE:  38

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Shaftsbury, Vermont

 

VICTIM: (The Vermont State Police does not release the names of victims of

sexual assault or domestic violence.)

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On 09-29-2016 at approximately 1400 hours, Troopers of the Vermont State Police responded to Church Street in Shaftsbury Vermont for a report of a Marijuana Plant growing in the backyard.

 

Upon arrival, the Marijuana Plant was found and investigation ensued. Troopers searched the house and found the house was unsafe for the children living there do to the hazardous conditions inside the home. Department of Children and Family removed the children from the home. Jennifer Onorato and Jacob Smith were arrested for 6 counts of Reckless endangerment for having the children living inside the house.
