LOCATION: VT Route 100, north of the intersection of US Route 4, Town of Killington

VIOLATION: MV Crash, DUI, civil marijuana possession

 

ACCUSED: Daimyen Scribner-Morales

AGE: 18

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Bennington, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On August 31st 2016 at approximately 2356 hours troopers from the Vermont State Police -Rutland Barracks responded to a two car motor vehicle crash on US Route 4, north of the intersection of Route 100 and Route 4 in Killington. Investigation revealed vehicle number two was stopped at a red light in the single-lane construction zone when vehicle number one struck it from behind. The operator of vehicle number one was identified as Daimyen Scriber-Morales. Scribner-Morales displayed signs of alcohol impairment and was screened for DUI. Scribner-Morales provided a preliminary breath test resulting in a .109 BrAC. He was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in Rutland Town where he was processed for DUI. Scribner-Morales’ vehicle was towed by Carrara’s Services. Scribner-Morales was issued a citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division to answer to the charge of DUI. Scribner-Morales was also referred to diversion for possession of a civil amount of marijuana and for being a minor and having consumed alcohol. He was then released to the Grace House in Rutland City. Vehicle #2 was able to be driven from the scene. Killington Fire/Rescue assisted at the scene of this crash

OCCUPANT: Jessica Mariano (25)

SEAT BELT: Yes

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Martinsville, NJ

DESCRIPTION OF VEHICLE: 2015 Nissan, 4 door

DAMAGE TO VEHICLE: Rear driver’s side taillight, rear bumper

INJURIES:  None

HOSPITAL:   No

 

WEATHER: Clear, Dark

ROAD COND: Dry
