SUMMARY OF CRASH: On September 30, 2016 at approximately 1550 hours VSP Williston Troopers responded to the report of a three vehicle collision on VT Route 15 in Jericho with entrapment. Upon arrival it was found that two vehicles were involved in the collision and there was no entrapment. Investigation at the scene revealed that Kelly Collins (Op#2) was attempting to turn left off of VT Route 15. While Collins was attempting to make her left turn, Gail Landry (Op#1) approached Collins' vehicle from behind and was unable to stop. Landry subsequently rear ended Collins vehicle in the westbound lane of travel on VT Route 15. Neither speed nor impairment were found to be contributing factors in this collision.

VSP Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Jericho Fire Department as well as Essex Rescue. Collins along with two of her passengers were transported to UVMC for precautionary reasons. There were no incapacitating injuries. The investigation is still under investigation at this time. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Corporal Andrew Leise at the VSP Williston Barracks 1-802-878-7111.
