LOCATION: Intersection of Vermont Route 62 and Airport Road, Berlin Vermont

DESCRIPTION OF VEHICLE:  Chevy Truck, Ambulance

DAMAGE TO VEHICLE: Front end damage

DESCRIPTION OF VEHICLE:  Chrysler Seabring

DAMAGE TO VEHICLE: Front end damage

 

INJURIES

Non-incapacitating injuries to Operator 1 and her passenger.  Non-incapacitating injuries to the ambulance attendant. No injuries to other passenger or Operator 2

 

WEATHER: Clear, Darkness

ROAD COND: Dry, Blacktop

 

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

                On the above date and time, State Police in Middlesex responded to a report of a two vehicle crash involving and car and an ambulance at the Intersection of VT RT 62 and Airport Rd in Berlin Vermont. State Police, upon arrival, identified Operator 1 as Lynn Doney and Operator 2 as Jane Sogge. Investigation determined that Doney was passing through a red light with the red emergency light activated and struck a vehicle crossing the intersection at a green light. Doney stated he slowed his speed before proceeding to through the intersection when the car pulled out into his path of travel. Sogge stated that she did not see the ambulance.  Sogge, her passenger, and the ambulance patient attendant were transported UVM CVMC for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries. Doney was not injured and the patient being transported by the ambulance was transported to their destination by another ambulance.
