SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 9/6/6 at approximately 6:40pm Vermont State Police and Bolton Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle striking a bear at mm 70/80 on I-89.  A subsequent investigation found the bear ran out into traffic giving Operator #1 little to no time to react.  The vehicle sustained significant front end damage and had to be to towed from the scene.

 

Operator #1 and his passenger reported were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and were uninjured during the crash.  Due to the timing and location of the crash, no traffic delays were observed.
