SUMMARY:

 

            On September 25, 2016, at approximately 1843 hours Vermont State Police were monitoring north traveling traffic on Interstate 89 in St. Albans near mile marker 115. While monitoring traffic a white 2015 Chevrolet Malibu was observed traveling faster than the posted speed limit of 65 mph. Radar confirmed a speed faster than the speed limit, displaying the speed of the vehicle as 102 mph.

            When Troopers caught up to/observed the vehicle, the vehicle continued at a high rate of speed. The speed paced by a Trooper when behind the vehicle was approximately 95 mph.

            The vehicle was stopped and the operator identified himself as Honore Maignan. Maignan was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the St. Albans Barracks for processing. Maignan was released after being issued a citation for Negligent Operation. The date to appear in Franklin County Superior Court, Criminal Division is October 31, 2016, at 1:00 pm.
