SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On September 18, 2016 at approximately 3:25 PM Vermont State Police responded to 3905 Richville Road in the Town of Shoreham for a report of a motor vehicle incident. The complainant advised that he believed  there had been an accident as he heard a loud noise and a large tire that was on fire had travelled through his house causing structural damage.

Investigation revealed a farm vehicle operated by Germain had a mechanical failure. There were no injuries as a result of this incident, only property damage. The driver’s side rear tire had separated from the farm vehicle and the tire travelled off of the road way and made contact with the complainants residence. The tire had entered the east side of the residence and caused extensive damage to the wall and living space within the residence.
