SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 09-22-16, at approximately 1334 hours, Vermont State Police/Westminster Barracks responded to a report to assist the Town of Dover with the investigation of a motor vehicle crash that occurred involving a Dover police cruiser.

Investigation revealed the Dover police officer was responding southbound on Vermont Route 100, to a call for service to assist Wilmington Police Department.  While en route to the call Vehicle # 1 was initiating a left turn from Vermont Route 100 in the northbound travel lane, onto South Access Rd.,  crashing into the responding police cruiser. 

The Dover police officer was taken to the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center to be checked for minor injuries.
