INCIDENT: Untimely Death

VICTIM: Ashleigh A. Rector

AGE: 30

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Killington, Vermont

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On September 27, 2016, at 1346 hours, Vermont State Police and local EMS responded to a residence on Killington Road in the town of Killington, Vermont, for a report a an unresponsive adult female. EMS subsequently pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation by the Vermont State Police and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) yielded the scene to be the residence of the victim, Ashleigh A. Rector, as well as her multiple roommates. The victim had been discovered unresponsive by one of her roommates who called for assistance. There
were indications at the scene of illegal drug use by the victim. There was no indication of foul play. The victim was transported to the OCME for autopsy. The cause and manner of death are pending at this time. End of report.
