SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 9/21/16 at approximately 1042 hours Troopers responded to the Gilman Middle School in Lunenburg for the report of an 11 year old girl that was attempted to be lured into a vehicle earlier in the morning. Troopers were told that at approximately 0650 hours a male in his mid-30’s to late 40’s had pulled up to a bus stop on Bobbins Mill Road in Lunenburg and persistently asked the child if she wanted a ride. The vehicle was described as a single cab red pickup truck with unknown plate.  The Caucasian male was described as having a dark goatee, with some gray, possibly bald, wearing a black baseball style cap, a navy blue T-shirt and appeared to have a tattoo on his left bicep, which showed only at the bottom of the sleeve. As the school bus arrived the male quickly left the area. The child was not harmed. Anyone with information regarding this is asked to contact the Vermont State Police, St Johnsbury Barracks at (802)748-3111.
