Aggravated Domestic Assault in Woodford

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 08/31/16 at approximately 2130 hours, Vermont State
Police were called to 31 Bickford Hollow Road, Woodford, for a reported family
disturbance. Upon arriving on scene, Troopers made contact with a female
resident at 31 Bickford Hollow, who claimed to have been assaulted by George
McGuire. The woman advised McGuire had grabbed her by the throat several times
during an argument.

McGuire was taken into custody for 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault and
transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in Shaftsbury for processing.
McGuire was later remanded to the Marble Valley Correctional Facility for lack
of $2,500 bail. Conditions of release were also imposed upon McGuire to appear
in Bennington County Superior Court, Criminal Division to answer to the charge
of 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault. These conditions were set by the
Honorable Judge David Howard.
