SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: At approximately 1200 hours on 08252016, Vermont State Police received a request for assistance from fire/rescue personnel who were responding to the area of Hamilton Falls on Hamilton Falls Road in Jamaica for a 17 year old male who had gone over the upper falls to the middle pool (there are three pools in the falls). It was reported initially that bystanders on scene had begun to preform CPR at that time. The subject regained a pulse and respirations as a result and prior to being extracted from the wooded area surrounding the falls. He was then air-lifted by helicopter to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

The victim slid approximately 100 feet to the second or middle pool and sustained head injuries in the process.
