SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On August 5, 2016 at approximately 1446 hours, Troopers from the St. Albans barracks responded to a motor vehicle crash on US RT 2 in South Hero, VT. Prior
to their arrival, Deputies from the Grand Isle Sheriff's Department were already on scene.

Upon arrival to the scene, Troopers were notified that the male operator was pronounced deceased at the scene by South Hero Rescue. It was determined that the silver Audi A4 was traveling south along US RT 2 when it crossed the center line and collided with farm equipment traveling north. Speed and or alcohol have not been ruled out as factors in this crash, however this crash is still under investigation.
