SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On 08/26/2016, at approximately 1827 hours, the Williston PSAP received a report

of a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 189 westbound. Troopers responded to the

scene as well as officers from the South Burlington Police Department. Vehicle 1

was located in the I189 westbound passing lane shoulder. The operator (Operator

1) was located on I189 by South Burlington Police and later identified as Chad

Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick performed Standard Field Sobriety Exercies (SFSEs) and

provided a Preliminary Breath Test (PBT) sample of 0.145% BAC. Fitzpatrick was

taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and

transported to the Williston State Police Barracks for processing.

 

Fitzpatrick was later release on citation to appear in Chittenden Country

Criminal Court on 09/15/2016 for the charge of driving under the influence

(DUI-#1).
