CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Fairfax, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

                On August 23, 2016 at approximately 2020 hours the Vermont State Police received a report of a vehicle operating erratically on I-89 North in area of Georgia, VT.  At approximately 2030 hours the Vermont State Police were notified that an alert off-duty Sheriff’s Deputy had identified the aforementioned vehicle in the Maplefields parking lot off Exit 18 in Georgia, VT.  The operator of said vehicle was ultimately identified as Ryan Hammond via his valid VT driver’s license.  The subsequent investigation yielded Hammond to be operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.  Hammond was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Albans Barracks for DUI processing.  At the conclusion of the processing Hammond was issued a Citation to appear before the Franklin County District Court on 09/19/16  at 1300 hours to answer the charge of DUI.
