SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On August 25, 2016 at approximately 1318 hours, Vermont State Police received a report of a two vehicle crash in Florence, Vermont. Operator #1 stated that she was traveling south on West Creek Rd. when a small animal ran out in the road. Operator #1 swerved her vehicle right to avoid striking the animal and struck a parked vehicle that was in front of the residence of 1959 West Creek Rd. Due to the impact of the crash, the parked car struck the residence causing minor damage to the porch.

 

Vehicle #1 airbag was deployed and operator #1 was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Injuries to operator #1 consisted of minor burn/abrasion on her right forearm. Operator #1 did not seek medical attention for her injuries. Both vehicles were towed off scene. Primary cause of the crash was vehicle #1 failed to maintain her lane. Pittsford fire and rescue, Regional ambulance, Thunder towing, and Leicester towing all assisted on scene.
